Biography:
Once nothing but a petty thief, he was
caught by the guards of Qeynos. Instead of being sentenced to death, as was the norm
for thieves, he was granted a reprieve, and sentenced to survive Blackburrow. He was
guided there on a long trip by a Monk named Azuka, who taught Azrael many things about
unarmed combat on the way, but was killed just upon entering. Confronted by many
gnolls, he gave up life until a Ranger named Gaelder and his wife Mileena showed up,
rescuing him and killing the gnolls. He lived with them for a long time until giving
up life in the forest, returning to Qeynos 4 years older and hoping they would not
recognize him. Upon arriving, he met a young thief girl who was living on the
streets, and who also reminded him of his own past. From that day, he founded the
Association of Rogues, a society based in aiding the thieves in Qeynos, moving on to let
in thieves from the world join, while standing beside him was the girl he met in the
streets, Monika. The guild grew and grew, until the ranger he had lived with and
seen as a father returned to the city, saying his wife Mileena had died. With
nowhere else to go, and Azrael realizing he was a strong person with a good head on his
shoulders, Azrael relinquished command of the guild to Gaelder, and assumed the rank of
shadowcloak.

Comments:
Don't judge a book by its cover.
Azrael is the opposite of everything he lets on (and he does it on purpose).
Resourceful. Azrael has a general contempt for society, and has his own static views on
how the world should be. |
